Your Teacher

Emilio Mercuriali
Emilio Mercuriali
Emilio was born in Ravenna, a small town in Italy. There, the seeds of his search for personal freedom were sown at an early age. His first school teacher was Steiner trained with a deep respect for individuality. His father was a freedom oriented intellectual who fiercely supported Emilio’s personal growth. He cherishes the emotional and intellectual freedom of his early years. It provided a solid foundation for him in the next stages of his life.

In the prime of his youth, age 17, he came across a book by Osho. His spiritual journey began. He moved to India at age 22 to spend 10 years in the Osho Commune, Poona. He thrived in this challenging spiritual environment , studying, practicing intensely and participating in life altering processes. The pinnacle experience being the direct transmission received in the presence of his living master.

After Osho’s death he staffed and facilitated the Path of Love process for six years.

Moving on to Australia he received the teachings of Barry Long on ‘Tantra, Love and Relationships in Our Spiritual Life’. His study of Maurice Nicoll, Gurdjieff and the fourth way began around this time.

Soon after he met Faisal Muqaddam, founder of the Diamond Logos Teachings. After 20 years as a student and close friend of Faisal, Emilio is a senior teacher in this school. Many years of intense exposure to the work has added invaluable precision to his understanding of how ego psychology and spiritual systems can be integrated.

Since 2010 Emilio is based in Istanbul, Turkey. There he founded Diamond Logos Turkey. He teaches largely in Italy and Turkey and occasionally in other countries depending where his extensive world travel takes him.

His passion for teaching stems from a desire to integrate his understanding of ‘spiritual’ experiences into daily life. In his words… “I love teaching. It is essential for me to organize and present what I have learned from all my teachers. Teaching is a way for me to bring something seemingly elusive into daily life, to make it more embodied. Teaching is my practice. I like being with people in the context where they are open and sincere and motivated to find the truth about themselves. It is a privilege to be the messenger about the possibility of being free within life. Bringing this teaching to my students is important because i know that its powerful and that it can liberate them. It’s a gift to humanity. The more people know about this the more changes there can be.”

Emilio’s knowledge of ancient philosophy and modern psychology comes together in his fine and complex understanding of Essential Living. His sessions and workshops are based on this clear eyed view of life. His teachings support individuals in their quest for personal freedom.

What it is

This retreat is an opportunity to discover the Divine Core of your Being through understanding and experiencing its innate qualities, the Lataif (from the Sufi tradition).

These are the natural expressions of your Essential Being. Understanding them (the Lataif) will support you in getting to know and express yourself fully.

In our daily lives, we are constantly impelled to plan the future and try to understand the past. Our minds are rarely here in the present. We constantly push ourselves, use effort to be successful and make things go our way. We have forgotten how to relax into the flow of life and move with confidence and relaxation. The Lataif will help us remember the effortless way of being; completely at ease with ourselves and with life.

The White Latifa - The Essence of Personal Will and Intention
This quality allows us to be present and relaxed in the moment. It offers the capacity to actualize our goals with clear intention by tapping into the steady and calm stream of Inner Support.

The Red Latifa - The Essence of Strength and Courage
It is this quality that generates expansion and freedom from self-judgment. It gives us the courage to face the truth and review our old contracts. With this essential strength we are enabled to take the risk to let go of the past and change.

The Black Latifa - The Essence of Peace
This quality is the spring of inner peace and doorway to our innermost Being. Stillness brings the mind to a settled place from where we can see its activity without being identified with it. It will guide us through the journey of becoming friends with not knowing and opening to new insights.

The Green Latifa - The Essence of Kindness and Compassion
Kindness and self-love are essential when we are facing difficulties in life. With loving kindness, we can touch upon our old wounds and let compassion wash over them as a healing nectar.

The Yellow Latifa - The Essence of Joy
Joy is a spontaneous happening which is experienced when we allow our desires to be expressed without judgement. To feel what our heart really wants brings us essential joy and guides us towards what we really love.

The key to unleashing the divine flow of Lataif will be through direct experience as well as the understanding of its specific blockages. In these five days we will meditate, learn about the wisdom of the Diamond Logos Teachings and how to practice Self-Inquiry.
